Muhammarah


Dried red pepper – 1 cup… directions to dry
Red Pepper – 1 medium size
Walnuts – 1/2 cup
Olive Oil – 1/2 cup
Lemon juice – 2 teaspoon
Salt – 1/2 teaspoon
Pomegranate paste – 3 teaspoons
Water – 1 & 1/2 cup

Cooking directions:

  • Chop walnuts fine
  • Roast fresh red pepper in the oven until soft.
  • Peal, remove seeds and dice the red pepper.
  • Place the dried red pepper in a bowl and mix it with the hot water
  • Add the the fresh red pepper, olive oil, lemon juice, pomegranate paste, walnuts and salt

Served with raw veggies, toasted Arabic bread or chips
